PERMISSION SLIPS AND MORPHIC FIELDS ~ Chap. 11 ~ Unlocking Our Superpowers
Permission Slips and Morphic Fields
For a long time I had heard of the “Master Cleanse” and it was described as a completely life-changing experience where people who took the 10-day journey felt totally transformed on the other side. Folks reported their skin had a whole new glow, while others said their internal organs felt brand new. I had been intrigued by this 10-day cleanse for about 3 years, though I will honestly say that 10 days without solid food seemed totally impossible for me. I love eating food, and the longest I’d ever fasted was 3 days, which seemed like enough for me.
With that said, during the summer of 2015 I felt like I needed to do a cleanse. I decided to stop eating solid food, and initially only aimed to go for 3 days. After about 72 hours without food, I felt surprisingly good. I still had a lot of energy, and was feeling strong enough to do a decent dose of daily exercise. As I sat in meditation on that 3rd day, I heard the words “Master Cleanse” coming to me from who-knows-where.
It instantly resonated and I knew I had to do it. I sensed it would be very challenging, but totally worthwhile in the long run. I began doing research and decided that I would focus on cleansing my Lymphatic System (essentially the sewage system of the body, which can get backed up with toxins and chemicals if we don’t flush it out). Rather than focus on the specific regimen of the “Master Cleanse”, I would follow my intuition as far as what to drink and how much. My main goal was to go 10 days with no solid food.
I bought a few different types of juice to utilize during this new endeavor. Because I was focusing on cleansing my lymph, I was also putting Castor Oil all over my body every other day as a way to drain the lymph nodes. In addition, I would add some cayenne powder to apple juice each day to stimulate the lymph. The third key to draining the lymph is movement and massage. Every day I was practicing yoga, going for a light jog, and doing deep tissue massage on my body, to loosen up tight spots where the lymph can build up.
On the 5th day of the cleanse I was very proud of myself, seeing as this was 2 days longer than I’d ever been without food! My skin felt a lot healthier, and I wasn’t really craving food. But could I really go another 5 days?! I needed some sort of confidence booster…
This is where the theme of “Permission Slips” comes in. My definition of a Permission Slip is : A person’s accomplishment, lifestyle, or way of being acting as a catalyst and piece of a living proof for another person to pursue a similar accomplishment, lifestyle, or way of being.
I did some searching on YouTube and began watching every video I could find about success stories of people who completed the Master Cleanse. These were everyday people who used their willpower and perseverance to stick to what they intended to do. And they all had amazing results. Hearing their stories and seeing their smiling faces on YouTube during the 5th day of my cleanse served as a “Permission Slip” to inspire me to finish the cleanse.
I admit — on the 8th day I felt a bit unstable, so I ate a small salad and then meditated, which brought me back to center. I continued with only liquids after this, and began eating solid food again after a total of 11 days. I felt completely transformed: inside and out, body, mind, and soul! Tying in directly with “Permission Slips” is a concept called “Morphic Fields,” which are essentially Energetic Imprints in the Collective Human Consciousness. Cutting-edge scientist Rupert Sheldrake explains the concept of “Morphic Fields” in greater detail here :
“The morphic fields of social groups connect together members of the group even when they are many miles apart, and provide channels of communication through which organisms can stay in touch at a distance. They help provide an explanation for telepathy. There is now good evidence that many species of animals are telepathic, and telepathy seems to be a normal means of animal communication, as discussed in my book Dogs That Know When Their Owners are Coming Home. Telepathy is normal not paranormal, natural not supernatural, and is also common between people, especially people who know each other well.”
“This means that new patterns of behavior can spread more rapidly than would otherwise be possible. For example, if rats of a particular breed learn a new trick in Harvard, then rats of that breed should be able to learn the same trick faster all over the world, say in Edinburgh and Melbourne. There is already evidence from laboratory experiments (discussed in A New Science of Life) that this actually happens.”
In the same way that we have “Muscle Memory” so that we can always remember how to ride a bike, Morphic Fields are the “Muscle Memory” of the entire Human Collective Consciousness! This means that we can potentially accomplish and acquire the same things as any human that has ever lived. What is required is research, practice, and discipline to cultivate the same energy within your BodyMind System and tap into these true Superpowers :)
For example if you want to become an Olympic runner, you’d want to study the posture, preparation strategies, sleep patterns, diet, mental attitude, etc. in order to mimic the same energetic frequencies as Marion Jones or Jesse Owens within yourself.
If you want to run a successful Life Coaching business, then you’d want to study the stories of people who have accomplished this. You could research what books these Life Coaches have read, what trainings they have under their belt, how they market themselves, etc.
Whatever it is you want to accomplish, the key is to study the Success Stories from people walking a similar path. In this way, you can tap into the “Morphic Field,” and utilize a similar energy for yourself. You don’t have to completely mimic or copy these people, but it can be extremely helpful to study how they behave.
Elliott Hulse is one of my favorite coaches when it comes to Strength Training. A way that I apply the power of Morphic Fields is to say “I call upon the Elliott Hulse vibration” when I am weightlifting. It helps me to feel strong, grounded, and motivated.
I even apply “Morphic Fields” beyond the Human Consciousness to the entire Web of Life. When I’m running, I often say, “I call upon the Lion frequency.” It makes me feel fast, empowered, and unstoppable (especially when I pound my chest as I run).
There are so many ways to apply the power of Permission Slips and Morphic Fields. Once you start experimenting with them, you will sense the magnitude of how powerful and real they are!
